The climate in Andalucia is characterised by mild winters and summers being very hot all over Andalusia with some regional differences (especially inland vs. coastal areas). The provinces of Cordoba and Sevilla get extremely hot during the height of summer (i.e. during July and August); therefore we do not recommend visiting these cities for a longer period of time during the high season..
The summers in the desert-like area around Almeria are also very hot. Here, on at the Atlantic coast the summers are hot as well, but because there is usually a bit of a breeze going, the temperature feels cooler and more comfortable. The best travel seasons are probably autumn and beautiful spring, when you will find an abundance of flowering fields and a lot of green until early July. The pleasant water temperatures and the comparatively reliable and mild climate make a visit to Andalucia worthwhile throughout the whole year..
